Dr.
Velasco is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease
and Interventional Cardiology. He joined North Texas Heart Center in
1996 and practices at the Baylor University Medical Center. Dr. Velasco
completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of
Medicine, Houston and received Fellowships from Baylor, Houston and Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and American College of Physicians. Dr. Velasco is very active in research, teaching and lecturing on a variety of cardiology subjects. He is widely published and serves as Assistant Editor of the American Journal of Cardiology. Dr. Velasco is a Clinical Relevance reviewer for the American Board of Internal Medicine, Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Velasco specializes in interventional cardiology, including PTCA and stenting.
