John L. Tan, MD, PhD

Dr. Tan is a graduate of Northwestern University. He subsequently received his medical and PhD degrees at Stanford University School of Medicine. His internship and residency were served at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at Stanford University Medical Center, after which he served on the faculty before joining North Texas Heart Center in 1999. Dr. Tan is board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases. He has been named to the Best Doctors in America, Top Doctors in Texas, and Best Doctors in Dallas list for a number of years. He received numerous awards for clinical excellence, research, and clinical teaching. He enjoys travel and raises American Quarter Horses.
