About Dr. Dohadwala
Dr. Dohadwala was born and raised in Houston, Texas. After receiving his undergraduate degree in Sociology at Rice University, he migrated to the northeast to begin pursuing his medical education at The Johns Hopkins Medical School; he won the esteemed Mall Prize for outstanding first year medical student. After completion of medical school, he completed his internal medicine training at Harvard Brigham and Women’s Hospital. There, he won an award for outstanding teaching of medical students. Continuing in Boston, he completed his cardiovascular medicine and cardiac electrophysiology fellowships at the Tufts Medical Center. A true Texan at heart, Dr. Dohadwala and his wife relocated to Texas and he joined the North Texas Heart Center in 2014 to provide excellent patient care and raise his family in his home state.
Dr. Dohadwala is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, nuclear cardiology, and cardiac electrophysiology. As a heart rhythm doctor, his interests include treatment of conduction system disorders (i.e. heart block, sinus node dysfunction), atrial fibrillation and other atrial (upper chamber) arrhythmias, ventricular (lower chamber) arrhythmias as well as advanced heart failure. He is well-trained in implantation of pacemakers, defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronization devices as well as in performing complex ablation procedures for conditions including atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), atrial fibrillation, and ventricular tachycardia.
His first priority is to keep his patients’ needs at the center of his care. He is proud to be a loving husband and father, an active member of a multi-cultural community, and a highly-skilled and compassionate cardiac electrophysiologist. .
